Pure Peppermint Hydrosol from Bayfield Lavender Farm

Distilled in small batches on the farm using our sustainably grown mint plants, this Peppermint Hydrosol offers a cool aroma and refreshing sensation. This hydrosol can be safely used without dilution.

Peppermint Hydrosol is one of the best toners for oily and problematic skin and can also be used as a soothing aftershave. This is pretty wonderful for menopause related hot flashes because it is cooling (there are sources that also consider it a hormone regulator). This particular hydrosol can also serve as an all-natural mouthwash or mouth spray but we do not recommend swallowing it in large amounts.

What is Hydrosol?

Hydrosol is a by-product of the steam distillation process. Though it shares many of the same properties as essential oil, hydrosols are made up mostly of water. This means they’re much less concentrated than essential oils and have a softer, more subtle scent, making them a wonderful addition to skin care or aromatherapy products. Compared to essential oils, botanical hydrosols have a more subtle scent than their essential oil counterparts and can safely be used directly on the skin.
